Case ①
Set up an Option Agreement that reserves the right to later license a technology so a company is able to engage in a few months of testing a specific technology. Subsequently, if the testing is successful, arrange a long term License Agreement.

Immediately arrange a long-term License Agreement without an initial Option Agreement.
